Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and fewso (“fewso”, “we”, “us”), a slow photo journal built and operated by an independent developer based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. By creating an account or using fewso you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use fewso.

Who can use fewso

You must be at least 13 years old, and old enough to consent to digital services where you live. By using fewso you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you give us is accurate.

Your account

You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Let us know through our contact formif you think someone else is using it. Don't impersonate other people or misrepresent who you are.

Your content

You own the photos, videos, and text you create in fewso (“your content”). We don't claim ownership. To run the service, you grant fewso a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, back up, and display your content — but only to you and the people you choose to share it with, and only to operate and improve fewso. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups that age out and anything we must keep to comply with the law. We will never use your content for advertising or to train AI models.

Acceptable use

fewso is a small, kind place. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You agree not to use fewso to:

• post or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, or that sexualises minors;
• bully, stalk, impersonate, or invade the privacy of others;
• share content you don't have the right to share;
• spam, scrape, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours;
• reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.

Reporting & blocking

Every member can report objectionable content and block another member from inside the app. We review reports of objectionable content and act on them — including removing the content and ejecting the user who provided it — within 24 hours. For anything urgent you can also reach us through our contact form. By using fewso you agree there is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.

Privacy

Your use of fewso is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains what we collect and why.

Payments

fewso is currently free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. If we ever introduce paid features, we'll make the terms clear before you pay, and any purchases made through the App Store are handled by Apple under its terms.

Service & availability

fewso is offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis and may still be in beta. We may add, change, or remove features, and we can't promise the service will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

Termination

You can stop using fewso and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or to protect fewso and its members. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as the content-licence wind-down, disclaimers, and liability limits — survive termination.

Intellectual property

The fewso name, logo, and the app itself are owned by us and protected by law. These Terms don't give you any right to use our branding without permission.

Disclaimers & liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, fewso is provided without warranties of any kind, and we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data beyond what the law requires. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be waived, or our liability for matters that can't be excluded by law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded fewso from the Apple App Store, the following also applies and, in case of conflict, takes precedence over the rest of these Terms:

• These Terms are between you and fewso only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for fewso or its content.
• Your licence to use fewso is a non-transferable licence to use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for fewso.
• If fewso fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund any purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to fewso.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to fewso, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, and consumer-protection claims, or third-party claims that fewso infringes intellectual-property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we'll change the “last updated” date and, for material changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use fewso after changes take effect means you accept them.
